Child Safety and Privacy

What we collect

• Practice answers: which questions were answered, whether they were right, and when. These are saved against a random session number, not a name.
• Grown-up accounts (optional): when a parent or teacher registers, we store their name, email address, role, the date they agreed to these terms, and a password saved only as a one-way hash.
• Learner profiles (optional, created by a grown-up): a first name or nickname, a grade, and a username and password (hashed) for that child. We do not ask for a child's last name, address, phone number, photo or email.
• Practice history: for signed-in learners, answers are saved against that learner so progress follows them. A grown-up can download or delete this data.
• Server logs: a shortened network address is used for abuse protection and is not kept with a name.
• Cookies: one session cookie that keeps a practice session working. It is not used for advertising.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not show ads or use ad trackers.
• We do not offer chat, comments, or any way for children to share content or contact each other.
• Practice questions never link to outside websites.

How we protect data

• Passwords are stored as one-way hashes.
• Pages are served with security headers, and the session cookie is marked HttpOnly and SameSite.
• Progress pages show only the current student's own results, never other people's data or email addresses.
• We keep only what is needed to save practice progress and improve the questions.

How long we keep data

• Practice history is kept only for a limited time. We are confirming the exact period and will publish it here.
• A parent, guardian, or teacher can delete practice history sooner from My Progress.

Your choices (parents and guardians)

• Delete this device's practice history at any time from My Progress.
• To review or delete an account, or to ask any privacy question, use the Contact page.
• Children under 13 should use the site with a parent or teacher. We will not knowingly collect a child's contact details.

Content safety

Every question and explanation is checked against a safety list (no bullying, violence, or scary content) and written to be kind. If you see anything that should be fixed, use the report button on the answer page or the Contact page.
